1999.06.20 - The Prophecy - 5ive0 Night with Caddy Cad & L Natural

Jennifer's tape has a bit of a surreal quality to it, it definitely sounds different than Mike's copy, even though it's the same show.  Thats the funny thing about recording tapes, every recording is unique in some way, the tape type, the gear, the distance to the antenna, it all has a subtle effect on how the recording sounds.  This tape features the legendary MC-5ive0 (Five-O), interviewed pretty much at the start of the show by Caddy Cad and then later again at 38:20 on Side A.  All the MC's really start busting out the rhymes later in the show when L Natural shows up.  Also, listening to Jennifer's copy has made us realize that we totally missed the guest DJ on Side B!  DJ RA touches down as a guest from AWOL, who spins a wicked set and closes out the night.

This show is sort of a strange one, but it's good.  Especially Side B when you've got 3 MC's ryming it up with Marcus spinning some MC friendly jungle.

For the 1st half of Side A, Caddy Cad 'interviews' 5ive0 until Marcus puts the boys to work MC'ing.

Side B gets a little crazy when L Natural shows up.  Things turn into a bit of an MC battle and each MC has their own rinse out moment, but I think L Natural takes the cake on this one.
